Where and when do you run?
From June 11 thru the Chicago Marathon in October, we meet Sunday mornings at 6:30 am at the Gazebo, in Prairie Path Park, in Glen Ellyn. The weekend after the Marathon Training Program ends, we move the start time from 6:30 am to 8:00 am. I am a total beginner. Where should I start?
A great start is to show up at one of our scheduled runs. We have runners and walkers of all abilities. You will find there will always be someone to run with. Always consult with your physician before starting any exercise program.

Can I run with you whenever I want, or do I have to join?
Come to any of our runs and see if you would be interested in becoming a member. You can then decide if you want to join. (You must be a member of the club to participate in our training programs.)

How do I join?

Should I wait until I am in better shape?
No, don’t wait! We have runners of all abilities, so there will be someone who runs at your pace. Many of the people who start running with us say that they wish they had joined our group sooner. We have starter groups for beginners.  Always consult with your physician before starting any exercise program.

I am visiting the area, can I run with you?
You are very welcome to join us for any of our fun runs. You don’t need to pay anything for an occasional run. Contact our Membership Chair or our Secretary for additional information.

Where are you located?
We are based in Glen Ellyn, Illinois, running mainly on the Illinois Prairie Path (DuPage County). For weekend runs there is plenty of parking in the Metra parking lot at the Glen Ellyn train station. You should come dressed to run, as there are no places to change clothes. We provide sports drink for our training programs in the Spring and Summer and there are water fountains on the Prairie Path. Bring your own means of hydration for Winter runs.

How far do you run?
We divide up into different groups which run between 2 and 8 miles, at different paces. All of our runs have a “no drop” rule, we don’t leave anyone out on the path.

Who do I contact for more information?
Contact Nanette. Or, click here to join.

How much does it cost to join the club?
Annual membership dues (January 1 to December 31) are $52.00 for individuals and $78 for families (up to 4 in the same household). Membership includes all training programs.

Club members can also enjoy discounts on most running gear at participating area running stores. There is more information on our how to join page.
